Zwiastuje to albo wytarte schematy gatunku, albo klasykę gatunku. Co czytamy z tyłu na okładce? “Okryte mgłą i spowite deszczem wieżowce, wąskie, zatłoczone uliczki, pulsujące neony i wielkoformatowe reklamy dają tło rzeczywistości, w której kwitną przestępczość, nielegalny handel bronią, danymi, a nawet ludzkim ciałem. ![]()

Unfortunately there is a ton of (im)mature language it definitely pushed the limits of what I’ll tolerate. Their investigation leads to so great and unexpected geeky results, and a really fun story is the result. As Redshirts themselves, they have a vested interest in getting to the bottom of things. ![]() It doesn’t take long for them to realize the death rate among red-shirt-wearing new guys is weirdly high. Andy Dahl and his friends are new members of the Intrepid, the flagship starcruiser of Universal Union–or Dub U, and those of us in the know like to call it. This is the story told from those Redshirts point of view. But those poor Ensign’s in those red shirts…. Mind you, I am exactly the sort of person who would love. I have some issues with the novellas in the back of the book but I consider the main story to be damn near perfect. If you’ve ever watched Star Trek, you know what happens to the guys in the red shirts–they’re always the ones who die! The main characters always wore blue or gold…and somehow they always made it. RED SHIRTS by John Scalzi remains one of my all-time favorite books so if you’re looking for an unbiased recommendation then you’re probably looking in the wrong place. ![]() ![]() ![]() But when Augusten is forced to examine himself, something actually starts to click and that's when he finds himself in the worst trouble of all. ![]() are immediately dashed by grim reality of fluorescent lighting and paper hospital slippers. But when the ordinary person had two drinks, Augusten was circling the drain by having twelve when the ordinary person went home at midnight, Augusten never went home at all. You've seen him on the street, in bars, on the subway, at restaurants: a twentysomething guy, nice suit, works in advertising. You may not know it, but you've met Augusten Burroughs. When he'd come home from work and Samantha would say, 'Darren, would you like me to fix you a drink?' Drawing from newly available diplomatic archives in China, South Korea, and the former Soviet Union, Jager analyzes top-level military strategy. At the center of this conflict is an ongoing struggle between North and South Korea for the mantle of Korean legitimacy, a "brother's war," which continues to fuel tensions on the Korean peninsula and the region. Her sweeping narrative ranges from the middle of the Second World War-when Korean independence was fiercely debated between Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill-to the present day, as North Korea, with China's aid, stockpiles nuclear weapons while starving its people. Plus Miles friends are protesting CRADLE agents and then we have Cap to the rescue and all and when all things converge and Goblinoids and the Ultimate Goblin and Ultimatum attack them, its the team up of all heroes including Miles, Cap and his friends Bombshell and Starling and they fight and when all is over there will be a great personal cost for Miles and some big revelations. ![]() Miles and his sister have an adventure while Prowler works for Ultimatum while in some other area miles has to deal with CRADLE agents and we see the ramifications of Outlaw and in some other place he is fighting his clone and they bring him to Ultimatum and we finally see his plans and Miles learns his identity and that was the cool part and I love how the writer makes use of continuity here. ![]() |
